A Natural Remedy for Eczema by Elena Schalburg

Infantile atopic eczema, many other forms of eczema, psoriasis, in fact any skin problem, are ruining thousands of peoples' lives in today's world. An increasing number of babies are born with eczema; others develop it within the first two years. Research so far has not proven anything to be of help. In fact, the findings are often confusing, eg 50% of eczema sufferers improve in sunlight and the other 50% suffer.

Mothers often search for the causes in vain as there are many. At GP's surgeries, steroid preparations and paraffin based emollients are handed out. Mothers find these unsatisfactory answers to the problem. Some doctors are now even questioning the use of aqueous creams, and the side effects of long-term steroid preparations are well known.

Eczema does often run in the family. Eczema may become exacerbated by dairy products. Eczema may occur after the triple vaccine, but so far there is no sufficient evidence to prove anything.

This in my view means that each family must look for their own answers and follow their instincts. Eczema in my view is a disease of the 21st century. I do feel that environmental factors are related. Our new-born babies are refusing to tolerate a lot of ingredients included in baby food. What makes a product a baby food product? Is it just a name? We are all learning to care for mother earth, the world and ourselves and we are changing all the time. Consciousness is expanding. The creative centre of our hearts holds the power to transform our thoughts and feelings into manifested form. We are all learning to seize control of our creations. Once we have dealt with our emotional baggage we can change the focus of our minds from the ordinary to the eternal. This means abundance, limitlessness, freedom and miracles. This will lead us to our authenticity, honesty, love, wisdom, grace and gratitude in all our own divinity.

When I arrived in England, I decided to take up nursing. In 1983 I qualified as an RGN. As I had always been interested in skin, I chose to continue my education at Queen Victoria Hospital. In 1985 I qualified as a Burns and Plastics nurse. While working there, I invented a moisturiser that I tried on my patients with burns, scars and skin grafts - with their consent, naturally. The results were amazing. Fate would have it, however, that people came to me suffering from eczema and psoriasis, especially mums with babies and children.

This has since become my niche. However, people come to me of all ages and stages with all sorts of skin problems: irritated scalp, cradle cap, head lice, nappy rash, sore nipples, varicose veins, sunburn, acne and spots and acne rosacea. I am so grateful that word of mouth takes care of my reputation and that my customers trust my range and me. I taste, smell, try, feel and research every ingredient. My representatives try them and finally my customers try every new product first before it is released. Hence, none of my products have been tested on animals.

I am most grateful to be of use to adults, parents and children with eczema and psoriasis or child related skin problems. It gives me such pleasure to be able to help, understand and advise after 20 years of research. Mothers no longer feel desperate, sad, helpless and hurt because once you take responsibility, become active and able, the whole situation changes. With the use of my home-made range, my help, my tips and professional background I have provided a sound platform to which mums come, by word of mouth only, from all over the world for advice about eczema, psoriasis or child related skin problems. It gives me such pleasure to be able to help, understand and advise after 20 years of research. Mothers no longer feel desperate, sad, helpless and hurt because once you take responsibility, become active and able, the whole situation changes. With the use of my home-made range, my help, my tips and professional background I have provided a sound platform to which people come from all over the world predominantly by word of mouth, via the internet (www.elenasnaturecollection.co.uk)and via TV and Radio interviews. Feedback from my customers show an 80-90% success rate of keeping their skin problem under their control.

My general advice consists of starting with my Triangle. This consists of my Day Cream Special and Night Cream Extra for moisturising, for the itch and redness, and my Bath and Body Oil for lubrication.

When my mums informed me that they didn't have any soap to use, I was prompted to produce a soap and shampoo all in one called Elena's Trinity soap and shampoo. It proved to be exactly what we all wanted, namely antibacterial, anti inflammatory , soothing, cleansing and even uplifting. It prepares the skin firstly for the Bath and Body Oil and then the Day Cream or the Night Cream afterwards. It is the Regime of using these four products that has created the enormous success rate. It is vital to understand my regime. (see article 2)

I am still personally involved in the whole process to this day. This means I have a rapport with most of my customers. They give me a short history, to which everyone gets a personal answer. The follow up response generally keeps me very happy, as my success rate is enormous. I produce a newsletter every so often with lots of new information for everyone. Quite frankly it is almost like an exclusive club in which you feel together with like-minded people who have similar skin problems and have all chosen an alternative route - the road to magic.
